BA CEO elected to Sports Environment Alliance board
Bowls Australia (BA) congratulates CEO Neil Dalrymple on his election to the board of the Sports Environment Alliance (SEA).
Mr Dalrymple was one of four new additions elected to the SEA board at their AGM on November 25.
Mr Dalrymple will work alongside other leaders in the sporting industry to continue to tackle the important issue of environmental sustainability.
SEA Chairperson Margot Foster AM OLY welcomed the new Directors, who are ready to lead the sport industry’s engagement with the circular economy and will help the organisation to build on the spectacular success of its first five years.
“We are delighted with the breadth and depth of expertise on our Board and look forward to drawing on our new directors’ extensive skill sets, including excellence in governance, sports administration leadership and environmental science leadership,” Ms Foster said.
“With the release of the latest IPCC report, the timing is right for the elected Directors to exert a significant and positive influence on environmental sustainability in, by and through sport.”
BA has placed a strong focus on environmental responsibility, launching an Environmental Sustainability Strategy earlier this year while also being the first Australian sporting organisation to become a signatory of the United Nations’ Sports for Climate Action Framework.
“I’m grateful and excited to have been elected onto the SEA board to continue to help drive forward the great work they do,” Mr Dalrymple said.
