Bowls Australia program and formats review
Bowls Australia (BA) is undertaking a program and formats review to best position the sport to grow participation.
The objectives of the review are to:
- Gain a better understanding of current and potential Bowls participants in Australia and the Bowls participation landscape.
- Understand the extent to which the current suite of programs are meeting participant needs and where potential gaps exist.
- Leverage market research insights to inform the development of future strategies to improve national participation.
BA went to tender through a competitive RFP process and subsequently appointed Gemba as the preferred agency provider.
Gemba are a strategy and insights consultancy who specialise in the sport industry and have vast experience in building NSO participation strategies:
The review includes a consumer research phase to understand paths to participation/membership, current member experiences, format/program perceptions.
BA will aim to survey approximately 5,000 people across existing, lapsed, and prospective participants. The market research insights will help inform future strategies to grow national participation.
BA will randomly target participants from each stakeholder group over the next two weeks.
Bowls Australis thanks the Bowls community for their participation in this important initiative.
