Foster Bowls Club brings the festive spirit to Jack Attack
The Christmas spirit was well on display at the final Jack Attack for 2024 at Foster Bowls Club.
Jack Attack is a fun and fast-paced format of bowls aimed to encourage participation with non-bowling members of the community.
For its last session of 2024, Foster Bowls Club encouraged participants to dress up in Christmas outfits and played Christmas tunes.
This ensured the Jack Attack competition ended with a night of festive fun.
The Section A premiers were Hospital Facilities comprising of Tony Vanin, Andrew Kent and Martin Schack, while the Robblecocks team of Leigh Roberts, Vanessa Roberts and Rod Cockerill were the winners of Section B.
Foster Bowls Club’s Beverley Tyers said Jack Attack had brought a whole range of new people to the club and had helped drive up club revenue.
“It’s about getting the community to see what our facilities have to offer, especially the younger generation as they are the future of the club,” she said.
“It’s all about utilising our facilities to its greatest ability, and showcasing to the wider community the fun and enjoyment that bowls can bring.”
The next Jack Attack competition for Foster Bowls Club kicks off on January 15, 2025, and will run for eight weeks. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this inclusive and exciting event.

Jack Attack appeals to people who are looking for a more structured bowls competition than barefoot bowls, but don’t have the time to commit to longer formats of the game.
