Lighting the way forward for bowls clubs with Legacy Lighting
Bowls Australia (BA) has given the green light to a commercial partnership with Legacy Lighting, an Australian-based LED floodlighting company specialising in sports facility lighting.
BA CEO Neil Dalrymple said it was an exciting partnership, which has seen Legacy Lighting become the Official Lighting Partner of BA.
“With the increasing demand for bowls clubs to offer year-round and all-conditions access to participants, it’s important for BA to be able to recommend a leading lighting provider specialising in sports infrastructure with Australian-made products, and we’ve found that in Legacy Lighting,” Dalrymple said.
“BA is also a strong advocate for environmental sustainability and is committed to working with clubs to introduce practices that benefit the environment and create financial efficiencies, so Legacy Lighting’s focus on LED technology solutions was crucially important to this relationship.”
Legacy Lighting General Manager Brett Tunley said he was delighted to partner with the sport of bowls, which has a considerable footprint across the country with 693,563 annual participants and 1,832 clubs, who are serviced by 15 Regional Bowls Managers.
“Legacy Lighting is very pleased to be able to work with BA in this way,” Tunley said.
“As an Australian manufacturer, it means a lot to us to have established organisations working alongside us to further the sport with new technology like LED.”
In conjunction with the announcement, BA has released the first episode of a new fortnightly digital video series entitled ‘Legends Under Lights – proudly presented by Legacy Lighting’, where host Clive Adams will be joined by former Australian Jackaroos to relive their decorated careers and discuss their legacy in the sport.
