National Rankings – May 2024
As the concluding month of the 2023/24 National Rankings period ensues, the top end of the rankings standings has taken serious shape following the penultimate update from May.
Tasmania’s Josh Walker-Davis has maintained his buffer at the top of the tree with a 92-point over Queensland’s Jacob Nelson despite his tally dropping by 12 throughout the month.
Corey Wedlock remains in third position as he plots his rise back to the summit ahead of a huge Australian Open, while Kane Nelson’s sensational Queensland Championships sees him jump up into fourth.
Ireland’s Gary Kelly has made a late charge into fifth place, jumping Aron Sherriff into the quintet and making his claim for a shot at the year-end top spot.
The women’s standings has seen plenty of jostling as the calendar year reaches its climax, with New South Wales’ Dawn Hayman overtaking Cassandra Millerick for the number one position.
Hayman stands 50 points ahead of the Victorian, who in turn leads her state teammate Samantha Atkinson by 11 as a huge few weeks lie ahead.
Right at Home Jackaroo Chloe Stewart has stormed into contention thanks to a sublime Queensland State Championships, edging within 74 points of Hayman in fourth, while her Australian teammate in Natasha Van Eldik has moved ahead of Kristina Krstic to finish May in fifth.

The National Rankings System operates on a yearly rolling-points system, where all points accrued are retained for a 12-month period and are then discounted. Players can accrue ranking points from all national events, State Championships, State Champion of Champion and selected club events.
