Right at Home Jackaroos teams announced for 2025 Trans Tasman

by Val Febbo on December 16, 2024

The provisional Right at Home Jackaroos and Para Jackaroos squads for the upcoming 2025 Trans Tasman at Naenae, New Zealand, has been announced with the respective fives to be revealed at a later date.

Like the 2024 event, the Trans Tasman will be split up into five seperate competitions, with the winning outfit gaining a vital test point for their country.

The teams will be divided into open men and women, Australia A men and women and para as the Jackaroos look to defend the 4-1 victory they earned in February.

Ellen Fife remains unavailable after the birth her first child earlier in 2024, marking her as the only one of the 20 open Jackaroos that will miss the competition, with Emerging squad member Jessie Cottell to step up in her place.

The tournament will see Lee Schraner back in action in an Australian lineup after being called up to the national team once again, while Kane Nelson will get his first taste of international five-a-side conditions.

All Open and Australia A teams, disciplines and positions will be revealed closer to the tournament commencement.

The Para contingent will see the 2023 World Bowls Championship winning duo of Damien Delgado and James Reynolds link up once again as they strive to emulate their heroics from the Gold Coast.

Commonwealth Games and World Championships silver medallist Serena Bonnell has been called upon once more with her state teammate Louise Hoskins to join her across the ditch.

The vision impaired contingent will see Jake Fehlberg return to add to his 98 international appearances, reuniting with his World Bowls Championships winning teammate Jacky Hudson.
