National Rankings: April 2026
There has been no change at the helm of the women’s or men’s ranks, but movement surrounding the top following the latest National Player Rankings update after a busy April with the race to the Australian Open intensifying.
The women’s rankings sees Victorian Jackaroo Olivia Cartwright maintain a large deficit over second place in the form of Queensland’s Kelsey Cottrell, who is up one place from March.
Cartwright’s lead over her Australian teammate Cottrell stands at 89 points, with Dawn Hayman a further 14 points adrift in third.
Victorian Sophie Kurzman has leapt into the top five following a string of positive results across the past two months, while New Zealand international Selina Goddard drops one place to fifth.
The men’s tally sees Corey Wedlock retaining his number one position and continuing his streak on top of the mountain.
His lead over Josh Walker-Davis has dropped slightly to 89 points, but still an enormous buffer that reinforces his dominance at the head of the table.
Kane Nelson has moved up one place to third, a further 122 points behind Walker-Davis, with Gary Kelly a further 23 points back in fourth.
Nathan Black has remained in the top five, dropping two places to fifth.

The National Rankings System operates on a yearly rolling-points system, where all points accrued are retained for a 12-month period and are then discounted. Players can accrue ranking points from all national events, State Championships, State Champion of Champion and selected club events.
